130 representatives and followers of five religionspray together for peace and exchange ideas
On Sunday, 16 November 2025, approximately 130 representatives of five religions met in Neunkirchen at the Stumm’chen Reithalle for a joint prayer meeting. Afterwards, they had the opportunity to continue their discussions over a cup of tea, which was donated by the Turkish-Islamic community.
Each religious community read a prayer text in which important concerns such as peace and successful coexistence were presented before God the Creator and those present. After each address by the respective religious representative, there was a musical interlude with Nino Deda on the accordion. The following religions took part: Yezidism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism and Baha’ism.
The peace initiative Ad Pacem servandam was also invited to briefly present its activities for peace and against war, as well as the 2026 solidarity calendar, which could be purchased on site.
The event ended with the United Nations’ common prayer, which reads as follows:
Our Earth is only a small star in the vast universe.
It is up to us to make it a planet whose creatures are not tormented by war, not tormented by hunger and fear, not torn apart by senseless divisions based on race, colour or creed.
Give us the courage and foresight to begin this work today, so that our children and their children may one day proudly bear the name of human beings. Amen
